Jack Tighe Ltd specialises in on-site operations in the areas of grit blasting, ultra-high-pressure jet washing, protective-coating application, industrial painting and commercial painting. This work is carried out on refineries, railway stations, rail and highways bridge structures, power stations, shipping (both commercial and MOD), jetties, pipelines and general construction projects. Clients include BAE Systems, SSE, OPA, Osborne, Amco, British Steel, Dow Corning and Murphy Group. Our decorating division covers the health, education, housing, office, factory, local government and MoD sectors. Clients include several universities and colleges, many regional and national construction companies, councils and health service providers. The company holds all relevant accreditations including Achilles UVDB Verify, Achilles Trans Q Global, Constructionline Gold, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. We are also CHAS and Safe Contractor accredited and holders of RoSPA Gold Awards 2014–2017. We are members of the Marine Paint Forum, the Institute of Corrosion, British Ports Association and the British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA). Our associated companies, all similarly accredited, carry out off-site blast cleaning and coatings application, including intumescent coatings, to bridges, tanks, vessels and construction steelwork from our factories in Doncaster and Scunthorpe. The latter is the largest facility of its kind in the United Kingdom.
