Carrying out fencing and general agricultural construction work, the company successfully traded this way for about 30 years employing only five or six people. Today the company is owned by Ian Smith, son of the late James Smith, and his wife Lee. Joining the company in 1978, Ian worked for 12 years as a fencer gaining invaluable trade knowledge and experience before gradually expanding JSF into one of the largest fencing suppliers in the country.
