The National Buying Group (NBG) is a UK-wide partnership of independent merchants formed in 2003. They are dedicated to improving profitability and business opportunities by pooling their purchasing power for products. This provides an efficient route to market for suppliers and establishes NBG as the UK's premier buying group due to their open culture, business integrity, and strong supplier relationships. The organization has over 80 independent partners operating from more than 430 branches nationwide. NBG operates through a central support network, offering democratic control to its partners. Specialist Category Management Teams negotiate deals competitively and fairly, benefiting both partners and suppliers. They also foster strong relationships and idea sharing among partners, and engage in strategic alliances to stay at the forefront of industry developments.
