About Spl Building

I would like to introduce my business to you, I have been working in the building industry for forty years; trained as a carpenter and worked my way up the ladder the hard way! My experience spans from large scale building contracts costing millions to home improvements and maintenance. We cover carpentry works, replacement doors, glazed UPVC, painting and decorating, plastering, fitted kitchens......etc. I am a member of the Federation of Master Builders and also The Chartered Institute of Builders. Please do call me and I will be happy to give you a quotation for any work that you may need. Regards, Steve Litt SERVICES We can carry out most building works including :- Carpentry works Replacement doors and high performance double glazed UPVC/wooden windows Painting and decorating Plastering Fitted Kitchens and bathrooms Structural repairs and alteration Bespoke timber office/studio Listed building renovation Project management If you have any other works that you require to be carried out, please do call me and I will be happy to give you a quotation and at present there will be NO V.A.T. TO PAY, a very good saving. Replacement windows The house was built in the 1970 with wooden windows and single glazing. I was asked for a quotation to supply and install best quality window and doors in white UPVC, as well as providing and cutting out a window within the bathroom. After the windows and doors where installed the client had to turn the room stat down from 20 Deg to 17 Deg and remarked on how quiet it was within the home. Rear refurbish to house built in 1953 The rear of the property had wooden windows and doors which have been replaced with white UPVC. There is also a small extension to the kitchen, providing a utility area from a rear porch which only housed the dustbins. Also the rear lawn area was excavated and a patio constructed making this a useful area for the family and dogs. The timber artist studio We were asked by a local artist to provide an area within his home to enable him to paint. On visiting his home the only place to provide this area was in his rear garden, which was over grown with shrubs. After clearing the lower end of the garden an area of 4.0 x 3.0 was exposed. We designed and built a timber framed building which had a flat roof. The walls, ceiling and floor where highly insulated, also there was a requirement for natural light which was provided by a Velux sky light for a flat roof construction, with a large glazed area to the front. There was also a requirement for natural electrical lighting which was provided by four track lights around the sky light.
